v2.6: File Comparisons Feature Preview

Features:

  • We're close to finishing up a feature allowing files to be quickly and beautifully compared using nothing but a browser. You'll see options to perform file comparisons, but the comparison page currently reads "Coming Soon." Look for this feature in the next release we hope!
  • Major updates to our back-end system to better handle data backups and policies built so that we only keep backed-up data for a period of no more than 30 days.
  • You can now download files straight from the Vault without opening a file. Just check the box of your dmail and look to the Actions menu.
  • Customers on the D-Drive or Pro plan can now upload multiple files at once.
  • Some minor improvements to the Vault interface to make common tasks less confusing.

Bug Fixes:
  • After payment collected, some amounts were not properly being applied to customers' balances.
  • New Vault performance improvements caused a minor problem that caused the Vault to occasionally be out of date.

v2.5: New Pricing and Introducing D-Drive!

We are excited to announcing new, simplified pricing as well as a fantastic new feature called D-Drive.

Our new pricing allows you to only pay for what you use. Basic accounts are completely free, include 20GB of free storage, and you pay just $0.20 per recipient on any outbound messages or files that you send. Pro accounts are available at a flat $60/month that include all Dialawg features, 200GB of storage, and enable unlimited outbound communication. Every Dialawg account receives a free 20-day free trial of all features.

D-Drive allows you to map a drive on your computer that contains your Dialawg messages and files. Now you can actually drag and drop files from your computer directly to your Dialawg account! As always, each file is securely transferred and encrypted on our system and we maintain a complete revision history on each file so that you can always go back to a previous version.

Release Features:

  • New pricing

  • Problem with sending quick compose messages
  • No error message displayed when entering a bad password for quick compose d-mails

Problem With Some Mac Uploads

We are aware of an issue regarding some Mac users and their inability to upload files via the web interface. We're sorry that there are users experiencing these problems and understand how frustrating it must be. If you are affected please use our contact form to let us know and we will issue you a promotion on Dialawg services.

We are working on this and initially believe that it might be a problem from a recent update by Adobe Flash Player. In the meantime, you should be able to use our IMAP integration to send files and with our upcoming release you will be able to use our new D-Drive service.

Thank you for your patience!
Colin

Dialawg v2.3.6: API Specification

We had some great conversations on our recent trip to ABA Tech Show 2010 which helped us decide that the publicizing of our API should be our next big feature. Fortunately, a lot of the work has already been done as we have a private API to enable our backup software. In this release we are publishing the first draft of the specification of our API. We feel pretty confident that this will be what the API looks like when it's ready, but it is only a draft for the moment.

We encourage you to check it out and think about how your application or company might really benefit from using our service! https://www.dialawg.com/api

Features:

  • API specification draft now available
  • Users who rack up over $99 in matter-based charges will automatically be upgraded to the unlimited plan so that they are never charged more than $99 for correspondence
  • "Please enable cookies" page now in place for users who do not have cookies enabled. We use cookies as a means to further secure your session.

Bug Fixes:
  • Labels and matters weren't always being displayed correctly in the drop-down/auto-complete lists
  • Sending invites to new users for new businesses didn't send the verification email properly.
